Oh what a night! A “roomful” of over 100 guests from across the country laughed and cried their way through the May 2nd Healing One, Healing the World spring benefit.  Full of positive energy and contagious enthusiasm, Paddle Raise Queen Kay Lewis shared heartfelt stories of the impact that Spiritual Care Visitor Training has made in her life, and in doing so, blew through all previous paddle raise records by securing pledges and donations of over $67,000. Our honorees Linda McMillan and Martha Gano gave brilliant presentations about their love for Bishop Anderson House, and we enjoyed the group presentation from St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, which was awarded the inaugural Community of Care award. All told, our first ever virtual fundraiser was a smashing success, bringing in $96,000 to provide compassionate chaplains and train caring volunteers for people in need of spiritual care.
