She believes that strengthening our community requires nurturing the spirit of each of its members and passionately supports Bishop Anderson House’s efforts to advance health equity. ![]() INEZ DRAYTON With 27 years of property management expertise and a degree in Psychology from Governors State University, Inez brings both professional knowledge and human-centered values to the board. She is honored to support Bishop Anderson House's chaplains who provide vital spiritual care at Stroger Hospital. ![]() REV. DAWN GARDNER, Treasurer Rev. Gardner brings spiritual depth, financial acumen, and unwavering commitment to serving the underserved. As pastor of Hemenway and West Ridge United Methodist Churches, she leads with compassion. Her expertise as a Certified Public Accountant, combined with years of finance committee leadership and volunteer service, positions her perfectly as Board Treasurer. Rev. She believes in equitable care for the human spirit and is committed to supporting Bishop Anderson House's vision of compassionate service to all. ![]() KIT GROTELUESCHEN, MD A retired Internal Medicine physician and Red Cross Disaster Health Services volunteer, Dr. Grotelueschen is deeply committed to supporting the wellness and spiritual health of medical professionals. She understands firsthand how caring for caregivers enables them to provide better patient care—a principle central to Bishop Anderson House's mission. ![]() MONISHA HENDRIX With expertise spanning organ and tissue donation, behavioral health, and healthcare management, Monisha brings a deep commitment to saving and improving lives. Monisha builds relationships with hospital leadership to advance donation programs and increase awareness. Her research is focused on practices that increase resilience, effectiveness, and joy. She is the founder of Holy Ground Coaching (www.holygroundcoaching.com). RENITTA JACOBS-BIBB, President With over 20 years as a corporate paralegal and current service as a per diem chaplain at Rush University Hospital, Renitta brings both spiritual compassion and professional expertise. Growing up in Englewood, she witnessed the transformative power of community care. Her unwavering commitment to equity and the Ubuntu principle— valuing compassion and mutual support—drives her leadership. ![]() LAURA JENKINS Laura Jenkins is a graduate of the Bishop Anderson House Spiritual Care Visitor training program and participates in ongoing educational offerings at alumni gatherings. She greatly values the many ways in which Bishop Anderson House provides spiritual companions to accompany people facing challenges while receiving or providing healthcare, and uses what she has learned as a member of her church’s pastoral care team. ![]() REV. DR. JASMIN TAYLOR, Past President A Doctor of Ministry graduate with a passion for creating sacred spaces where people feel truly seen and valued. Rev. Dr. Taylor combines pastoral leadership with community-focused care, drawing from her travels and deep commitment to spiritual healing. She believes in the transformative power of "Sawubona"—the greeting that means "I see you"—and brings that vision to every space she touches. ![]() MARY KAY TOBIN, MD, Past President A retired physician turned interfaith minister, Mary Kay is passionate about creating sacred spaces for spiritual exploration and rituals that honor life's most meaningful moments. Her background in medicine and ministry positions her uniquely to support both patients and healthcare workers through profound transitions.
