Fifty years ago the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program at Rush began–one of the oldest CPE programs in Northern Illinois. The Episcopal and Presbyterian chaplains at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Hospitals felt that the hospital and the students would be best served by an accredited CPE program–so worked to incorporate the existing CPE offering of Bishop Anderson House into the Department of Religion and Health. Come celebrate 50 Years of CPE at Rush University Medical Center by attending an anniversary celebration symposium and dinner: Re-Thinking Chaplaincy Education: A Symposium in Honor of the 50th Anniversary of the CPE Program at Rush University Medical Center.
